What is the cost to me?

Just as you plan for the future to maintain your home or business, the Ameren Illinois Utilities (AmerenCIPS, AmerenCILCO and AmerenIP) must plan for the future to deliver you energy safely and reliably.  Our rate request is necessary to provide us with the resources to meet your energy needs.

Illinois Rate Case Impact Calculator

Important Note Regarding Calculator

The calculator is based on the original rate increase request of $226 Million that the Ameren Illinois Utilities filed in June 2009. Since that time, we have reduced the requested amount by $96 Million to a current request of $130 Million.* The actual impact to your bill will likely be lower than the amount provided by using the calculator. The calculator will be updated after the final rate Order is issued by the ICC.

*The Ameren Illinois Utilities were able to reduce the original rate increase request for several reasons, including improved financial markets, reductions to 2010 wage increases, the impact of our voluntary and involuntary workforce reductions, additional 2010 budget cuts and lower gasoline and diesel fuel prices.
